Bible Verses

Reading God's word has helped prove the lies that I am worthless and unlovable wrong. God has revealed to me how much He does love me. These are just a few of my favorite texts that I read and remember when I feel hopeless and defeated.

Quoted for the Clear Word and the NIV Recovery Bible:

"Beauty in a woman does not come from the way she adorns her body or fixes her hair, or from the gold jewelry or fine clothes she wears, Real beauty in a woman comes from within, that enduring charm of a gentle, tender spirit which in God's sight is priceless." - 1 Peter 3: 3-4

"There's no doubt in my mind that God who began a good work in you will continue to do so until Christ comes back to take you home." - Philippians 1:6

"I already know the plans I have for you. I will help you, not hurt you. I will give you a future and a hope. You will call on me and I will answer. You will talk to me and I will listen. You will seek me and find me as you search for me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29: 11-13

In 1 John it states that "GOD IS LOVE." 1 Corinthians 13 defines what love is. When reading 1 Corinthians 13 and replacing the word "love" with God, this is how it reads:

"God is patient and kind. God does not envy, nor does He boast. God is not proud. God is not rude, God is not self-seeking, God is not easily angered. God keeps no record of wrongs. God does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. God always protects, God always trusts, God always hopes, God always perseveres. God's Love never fails."

-Amen to God's love

"We know that God will make all things work out for our eventual good, as long as we trust Him and remain true to the purpose for which He called us. God knows everyone born into this world. His plan is that all of us should be like His Son... He gives us help when we need it. What shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us! If God loved us so much that He did not spare His own Son but let Him suffer for us all, wouldn't He willingly do anything else to help us?

Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Should troubles, hardships, persecutions, hunger, poverty, danger, (eating disorders), or threat of death?

I am convinced that nothing can separate us from Christ- life, nor death, or angels, or demons, or earthly powers, or things present, or things to come, or heights or depths, or anything else. Nothing can drive a wedge between us and God's love as seen in Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 8: 28-39
